Ramirent joins in the arrangements of music festivals during the summer. Setting up festivals requires versatile equipment, such as loaders, forklifts, telehandlers and Rami modules, some of which are used to create VIP premises.
The most recent festival in which Ramirent participated was Pori Jazz festival last weekend. Ramirent’s construction work started as early as two weeks in advance, as the festival area required a type of temporary city to be built from nothing – for the Pori Jazz event, a “Jazz street” is built in the area. The planning of festivals, however, may start half a year before the event, and the work related to the three-day event can amount to as long as three weeks, including the preparation, on-site attendance and dismantling of the event.
Ramirent has been involved in Pori Jazz for 15 years, and the experience gained over the years is a great help for the customer. Experience is certainly necessary, as the fixed schedule of a festival adds to the challenge: to ensure the fluency of the event, the construction work must often begin in advance to leave some contingency time for any possible surprises.
Ramirent’s special expertise is down to its excellent staff, its partners and suppliers and the extensive equipment selection, which is why Ramirent is involved in arranging a number of music festivals and other events, such as Ruisrock, Provinssirock and Seinäjoki Tango Festival. International artists such as Suzanne Vega, the Pet Shop Boys and Bob Dylan entertained the crowds at Pori Jazz this year, and by Saturday, the festival that began on Thursday had received 60,000 visitors.
